Bring It Home

Bring it Home https://www.mnhousing.gov/home/local-government/bring-it-home is a new rental assistance program funded through Minnesota Housing to create rental assistance for low-income families in Minnesota. Using a Fergus Falls HRA Bring it Home voucher, a family will pay roughly 30% of their monthly income toward rent for a unit in Fergus Falls.

Who we serve

To be eligible for the program, applicants must be Minnesota residents who:

Have a household income at or below the income limit for their household size (see table below)
Currently pay more than 30% of their current monthly income toward rent, or are experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity
Priority for rental assistance shall be given to households earning under 30% AMI that include children
Are not currently receiving rental assistance under the Housing Choice Voucher program
Are not currently in a unit that receives Project-Based assistance

Preferences are assigned to applicants who:

Currently live in Fergus Falls, MN
Have a household with minor children and are making less than 30% Area Median Income

Current Participants

As a program participant, you are required to complete an annual recertification of income. If your income changes during the year, the change must be reported to our office within 10 business days. Unit inspections are completed every year.

Portability

There is no portability in the Bring It Home program. Families need to remain living in the city of Fergus Falls.
